It only took me a little over 8 years to make a case for my Arduino Uno and its 7 segment display.

It is surprisingly hard to make good photos of such a display …

Originally, I wanted to build an alarm clock (german blog post from 2014), but now I just use it as a USB-controllable 7 segment display. On my private machine, it just shows a clock. On my laptop at work, it shows how many hours/minutes I have already worked today. :-)

(There’s a thin sheet of paper directly in front of the display, for protection. I’ll have to replace that with acrylic glass or plastic some day.)
