(#hslaqhq) I haven’t used Signal long but I must admit I’m a convert. Also handy it can act as the default SMS app on my phone. SMS will be unencrypted of course, and Signal reminds you of as much, but it means i can just use Signal for either case

The better thing is probably to pull the desired nick from metadata comments, but not everyone has it and usage frequency is still interesting on its own.

Tracking current/correct nicks was getting confusing, so I added a nick usage frequency count pass to the crawler, which also corrects a URL’s nick to the one most-frequently mentioned for that URL. The collected nick data per (encoded) URL is here: https://xandkar.net/twtxt/nicks/seen/

Yeah sorry, I’ve been a bit caught up in things. I’m personally alright, just my partner has had some mental health battles lately as well as some physical ones 😥 What’s also compounded the issues, is after her first jab she’s had swollen lymph nodes around her neck for nearly a month and in quite a bit of discomfort and no one really knows why. I’ve since had my second jab and I’m fine, but she’s rather regretting hers ATM…

I have a nice Thinkpad x200 with libreboot on it, I did a fresh install of the OS on it today, I got debian testing installed, also went for KDE desktop, even though I like LXQT more, or xfce.
Going to give this a good run. The machine is working very well, and super stable. I really like using it.
